COMPLIENCE & LICENSING

BUILDING CONSENT

The following is an excerpt from an email from Michael Skelton, Senior Building Officer from the Hastings District Council.

“From my investigations and interpretation of the legislation I can confirm for you that the One Nation Mobile Bar is not a building and does not require a building consent or exemption from a building consent to be located at the show grounds pavilion for Hawke’s Bay Show weekend. My decision is based on the definitions within the Building Act 2004 and the Land Transport Act 1998. The One Nation Bar is clearly a vehicle that is designed for amusement purposes and members of the public cannot access the area by motor vehicles”
